Reports to: Group Director of Risk 

Here at N Brown Group, we are looking for a Head of Compliance join our Risk & Compliance division! There has never been a more exciting time to join us as we continue our journey towards becoming the UKs most inclusive retailer.

 

So, what’s the role?

 

Reporting to the Risk Director, this Certified role leads the Compliance function, offering advice, reporting and assurance over regulatory compliance with a primary focus on the financial services activities of the firm. The Head of Compliance is responsible for managing the relationship with the FCA.

 

As Head of Compliance, your responsibilities are to:

 

*       Manage relationships and interactions with the FCA including Reg Data reporting, Approved Person applications and responding to Consultation Papers and information requests.

*       Lead a Compliance function consisting of Advisory and Monitoring colleagues.

*       Attend Financial Services committees to present, advise and oversee.

*       Manage the relationship with the Finance and Leasing Association.

*       Maintain SMCR populations.

*       Offer regulatory interpretation and advice to stakeholders on both large-scale changes and ad hoc enquiries.

*       Interpret and communicate regulatory changes.

*       Work alongside the Head of Risk, Deputy MLRO and DPO to integrate second line activities.

 

About you:

 

*                    An experienced senior Compliance professional within a Consumer Credit environment.

*                    Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook, especially CONC, DISP and SYSC and SMCR requirements.

*                    Excellent stakeholder management skills and high-quality outputs

*                    Significant experience of direct interaction with the FCA

*                    Pragmatic and able to distil complex requirements into real scenarios

*                    Desirable - ICA Diploma-qualified or similar
