The Fraud & Financial Crime team have an exciting opportunity for a Fraud Data Analyst to join their analytical team.  

 

The role and responsibilities 

 

The role offers a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated, individual with a passion for data and an interest in fighting fraud and financial crime to learn and develop in this rapidly growing and evolving organisation. 

  • You will proactively and collaboratively develop analysis, supporting the senior analytical team in a variety of fraud prevention & detection areas. 
  • Compiling reports to help deliver strategy changes & also supporting senior management decision making. 
  • Applying analytical and technical ability to support the operational fraud team deliver the right customer/consumer outcomes. 
  • Aid the continuous optimising of our fraud control performance using a combination of rules and machine learning to continuously improve the Firm’s defences. 
  • Identifying fraud patterns and implementing suitable solutions to prevent them. 

 

What you will need to succeed: 

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel i.e. Pivot Tables and V-Lookups. 
  • Knowledge of one or both: SQL, Python (with the ability to run and amend queries) 
  • Clear, logical analytical approach to problem-solving. 
  • Ability to investigate data, find trends, forecast performance and provide insightful recommendations. 
  • Sound data visualisation skills 
  • Able to communicate effectively; using data to tell a story and drive business change
