Senior Online Merchandising Executive

 

You will lead, manage & inspire your Brands Online Merchandising team and be responsible for search/browse and product recommendations, UX and performance. You will make data led decisions to deliver proven improvements to the customer experience and achieve KPIs such as conversion and revenue; this will be achieved through product sequencing, optimising menus/filters, product recommendations, SEO, UX improvements and A/B testing and optimisation.

 

What you'll be responsible for as an Senior Online Merchandising Executive:

  • Lead, manage, train & inspire your Brands Online Merchandising team to hit or exceed merchandising KPIs such as conversion and revenue
  • Propose and implement a search/browse and product recommendations merchandising strategy, reporting back to key stakeholders on performance and action plans
  • Lead on product sequencing methods and strategies across search / browse, filter and menu performance, product recommendations and A/B testing strategies
  • Be responsible for all online product merchandising performance and UX on your online store, ensuring the customer is delighted at every opportunity
  • Delivering and presenting performance reports and proposals / action plans to stakeholders across the business
  • Working with other Senior Online Merchandising Executives and the Online Merchandising Manager, be responsible for ensuring best practice is shared across all online stores and processes are standardised
  • Be your online stores merchandising lead to feed into and influence cross functional meetings and projects, involving Departments like Ecommerce, Buying, Merchandising, Digital Technology / UX, Data / Insights and Marketing
  • Lead and support in cross functional squads working on transformational projects and initiatives to continuously improve ecommerce merchandising for the business
  • Supporting and leading with community / tribe projects related to Ecommerce / CRO / UX / CRM
  • Reviewing competitor activity / UX to identify and propose opportunities to improve UX, product ranges, product merchandising and SEO
  • Be your teams ‘Super User’ with all ecommerce merchandising and analytics tools, providing them with guidance and training on how best to excel using the tools
  • Lead the team when working with other Departments and present results and action plans to stakeholders across the business.
  • Influence your stores trading strategy and work cross functionally in squads to lead or support on transformational projects to continuously improve online merchandising for the business.
  • General other duties and administration as required

 

What you will need to succeed as an Senior Online Merchandising Executive:

  • Be good at leading, managing & inspiring a team whilst building good working relationships with stakeholders across the business, often with conflicting objectives.  
  • Be data led, analytical and commercially minded with a customer first mentality is critical to delight the customer and achieve business KPIs.  
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills to be able to present and report back results, learnings and action plans to large groups and senior stakeholders.  
  • Experience of a variety of platforms and software to achieve objectives 
  • Experience of ecommerce merchandising tools (e.g., Bloomreach, Attraqt, Rich Relevance), analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Data Studio, PowerBI, Excel) and workload management and reporting tools (e.g., Trello, PowerPoint) where proven KPI improvements have been achieved and reported is essential.
