The role

The Head Of Business Partnering will have lead responsibility for the delivery of a modern, effective, efficient and customer focused People partnering chapter, that is well respected across the organisation and is strategically aligned to organisational priorities. The role will oversee Employee Relations cases and help to lead initiatives that support delivery of the People Plan and Strategy.

 

The role holder will be able to operate at an operational and strategic level in order to drive an efficient, forward-thinking, professional, customer focused people partnering service that facilitates and leads on strategic change through trusted partnerships.

 

This role offers a blend of contributing to the wider People Domain strategy, team development and leadership, and interaction at a senior stakeholder level, as well as being hands-on, partnering with senior executive members. The Head Of Business Partnering will partner and form a close working relationship with the People Domain Chapter Leads to ensure the activities and strategic roadmap of the wider People team are aligned and co-ordinated.

 

The role holder will work to ensure that they understand commercial factors that shape how People plans are developed, implemented, and sustained; in addition to maintaining an understanding of the enterprise, market influencers, and finances in order to ensure personal credibility and ability to influence leadership and management and to add value to the enterprise’s bottom line.

 
 

What will you do as a Head Of Business Partnering at N Brown?

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Proactive member of the PDSLT to drive forward People initiatives and strategies by working collaboratively with Chapter Leads to inform the design of initiatives and solutions, and the communication and engagement approach
  • Provide expert people and commercially focused advice and guidance across the colleague lifecycle to stakeholders with a focus on senior colleagues
  • Build strong networks inside and outside the N Brown, engaging with key stakeholders to understand emerging people opportunities and work collaboratively and in partnership with colleagues both internal and external to People Domain to initiate people solutions in support of the strategy
  • Lead the People Partnering team, setting a clear vision for the team, bringing colleagues together enabling development and succession through collaboration and knowledge sharing through consistent and strategically aligned objectives.
  • Implement change management projects across domains in collaboration with peers and specialists to ensure effective transitions.
  • Mitigate and manage the people change impact as strategic initiatives go live and are embedded into units.
  • Acts as a commercial conscience for the People SLT

BP Responsibilities  

  • Act as the Senior BP for a one or more functional domain
  • Acts as a single point of the contact for the SLT in the Division
  • Proactively supports the delivery of People processes for the Division
  • Manages complex People projects cross-functionally
  • Build a strong partnering relationship with the Division
  • Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to cover risks
  • Works in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Team to find the key talents for the Division
  • Facilitates the management team to bring best solutions for employees
  • Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the People management area for the division
  • Oversees and advises on Final Stage ER issues including FWW, Dismissals and Employment Tribunal applications/defence.
  • Challenges the enterprise structure of the internal customer and proposes changes in line with the Agile blueprint, culture, and our values and behaviours.
  • Ensures consistency of action with all other Divisional BP’s
