The role

The Head of Supply Chain Change will be an expert in evaluating the business needs reporting into our Director of Supply Chain, defining new capability to support the business objectives, developing a road map for new technology capabilities, influencing cross functional partners, driving the change management agenda, managing and minimising cost, and delivering these new business capabilities with our customer at the forefront of mind. You’ll identify opportunities to improve the strategic objectives by working with a culturally engaged workforce to implement a rigorous and sustainable adoption of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques.

To lead and implement the Supply Chain strategy, supporting the overall Brand strategy. Accountable for overseeing and improving logistics & supply chain activities for the business. Challenging current solutions, processes and ways of working against our peers and best in class providers. Governance arrangements and skilled programme and project management resource in place supporting successful delivery of the Supply Chain objectives. Adoption of Continuous Improvement techniques across all Supply Chain areas.

They are commercially and operationally aware across all end to end aspects of the supply chain, able to identify inconsistencies and quick to exploit opportunities which enhance the customers experience and obsess about driving efficiency. Works with Merchandising, Product, Sourcing, Finance, Procurement and Digital Fit teams to ensure the delivery of cross-business improvement initiatives.

What will you do as a Head of Supply Chain Transformation at N Brown?

  • You’ll develop a clear strategic direction for the supply chain over the short, medium and long term.
  • You’ll construct a Supply Chain Plan that delivers the OKR targets.
  • You’ll management a clearly defined multi-year capital investment programme supporting improvements to Customers, Efficiency, Colleagues and the Environment; from concept through to ROI Group and Board approval.
  • You’ll provide management oversight and control of the Supply Chain portfolio of projects, ensuring they are accompanied by robust business cases and support the strategic objectives.
  • You’ll be responsible for the management of a structured and rigorous 'ways of working' approach to identify and deliver cross-business improvement initiatives covering Supply Chain, Product, Merchandising, Sourcing and Digital Fit.
  • You’ll implement a Continuous Improvement culture across all elements of the Supply Chain.
  • You’ll be responsible for the management of a governance process that supports the successful delivery of the Supply Chain plan and provides the required assurances to key stakeholders groups; Plc, Executive Board, Finance, Procurement

 

What skills and experience will you have? 

This is a senior supply chain role with a focus on operational excellence and improvement to accelerate the customer experience.  We are looking for an experienced operator who is used to bringing both operational and Head Office functions together through a strong academic rigour will enhance outputs and manage cross functional teams.

 

  • You’ll have proven senior leadership experience over a minimum of 10 years gained within a supply chain role.  Experience of managing senior teams across operational sites and head office locations.
  • You’ll have planned and preventative maintenance strategies, including statutory, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • You’ll have strong Project Management skills
  • You’ll have experience of management of People, Resources and Communication
  • Experience of management of Key Project Stake holders, External Suppliers, Consultants, and cross functional relationships.
  • You’ll be able to communication at all business levels.
  • Business knowledge for Tendering, Procurement, and Financial.
