A bit about the role:

 

This is an amazing opportunity to join our Supply Chain team responsible for managing our relationships with our strategic partners who support our inbound and outbound operations across our Shaw and Hadfield distribution centres. These critical partners also play a key role in delivering our parcels which has a direct impact on the customer experience of our brands.  Extracting value from these relationships is an important component in ensuring our partners are achieving the KPIs and delivering on the cost elements of the contracts. 

 

What you’ll do:

 

*     Responsible for managing and controlling overall relationships with Strategic and Critical suppliers - in line with the SRM Policy

*     Obtaining relevant information from the Procurement Team e.g. Experian periodic reports to conduct supplier risk and impact assessment.

*     Ensuring a contract is successfully executed by formally monitoring supplier performance against contract requirements.

*     Engaging with Business Contract Owners (BCO) to track and monitor supplier performance including status, quality and against SLAs / KPIs.

*     Issuing balanced Scorecards to collate supplier feedback.

*     Arranging and chairing supplier management meetings with performing and non-performing suppliers.

*     Improving and developing relationships with key supplier representatives based on mutual trust and understanding, open communications and a joint approach to managing delivery.

*     Maintaining frequent engagement with Procurement Category leads (PCL) and BCOs to review and assess supplier performance, risks & issues per supplier tier (as a minimum Strategic & Critical suppliers).

*     Formally engaging with suppliers on a periodic basis to discuss performance, risks, issues and any opportunity for future improvements or cost-savings.

*     Leading on issues resolution with suppliers to ensure that decisions and actions are taken appropriately by the Group.

*     Realise estimated and planned savings through continuous monitoring of spend and identify potential additional savings and benefits through proactive contract and supplier management

*      Collating and reporting on Lessons Learned that will benefit future contracts

 

Who you are: 

 

*       Proven experience of managing a large variety of commercial partners and suppliers.

*       The ability to build superior relationships internally, with suppliers and partners gaining early engagement and effective challenge.

*       High level stakeholder identification and management skills using RACI principals in communication and reporting.

*       Tenacity in driving performance and delivering objectives

*       The ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining focus on core outcomes and delivery.

*       Extensive experience of current Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) principals.

*       Demonstrable analytical skills such that you can assimilate complex commercial proposals, financial models and contractual payment obligations.

*       Robust commercial and financial acumen to understand and challenge budgets, performance against them, cost reduction targets to control costs and maximise profitability.
