We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Castle Fintech team, an exciting venture to assemble a new financial services platform. You’ll be a key member of an agile squad, working alongside the Product Owner and engineers to discover customer needs, design solutions and implement them.

What will you do as an Business Analyst at N Brown?

  • Work alongside the Product Owner you will be a key member of an agile squad. You’ll contribute to scope definition, business requirements capture and solution ideation.
  • Lead workshops to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and to facilitate the negotiation of these needs into agreed requirements.
  • Carry out gap analysis to understand and highlight were solutions do and don’t meet needs
  • Assist in managing the roadmap and backlog, create high quality user stories that meet you and your squads definition of ready. You’ll have an eye for detail, helping to spot edge cases and applying a level of rigour to ensure we produce a high quality product.
  • Support the business stakeholders vision the future and understand the impact of technology change on their operations, contributing to definition and rolling out of updated business processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of user acceptance test plans and scenarios to ensure the solution delivered meets the business requirements/acceptance criteria.

What skills and experience will you have?

  • Proactive and collaborative team player, who enjoys working with people from across the organisation
  • Experience working in a complex business, on projects that have delivered solutions across multiple technologies.
  • Experience working within a squad based Agile environment .
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify creative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience of analysing and documenting complex business processes and supporting the resultant business change. As well as experience in clearly defining scope and writing user stories with acceptance criteria to reflect the agreed scope. * You will have experience in testing.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Understand and respond to both end user and delivery team needs in rapidly changing business environments.

Ways of Working

We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!

Our working hours are 36.17 per week and our core working hours are between 10am - 4pm. Given we don’t have strict working hours you can find the working pattern that’s right for you.
