Commercial Finance Analyst

As Commercial Finance Analyst you will support the Head of Commercial Finance – Marketing in providing clear and effective commercial finance partnering to their respective Divisions. Develop the Finance function brand across the organisation, as an efficient and professional team that enables commercial growth.

​​​​​​​Additional responsibilities include:

*        Responsible for financial reporting and forecasting, provide quality financial analysis, insightful commentaries to the business and support to the Head of Commercial Finance.

*        Specific responsibility for production of monthly management accounts for the divisions and preparation of budgets and forecasts for the divisions.

*        Verification of actual costs and preparation of accruals, prepayments and journals.

*        Track Marketing spend and appraise performance to ensure the optimal Return on Investment is delivered for the business

*        Ensure that the business partners comply with the approved financial processes including all documentation, reports and plans, ensuring they are relevant, accurate and have a complete audit trail

*        Supports Head of Commercial Finance by championing change management; driving improvements to financial accountability across the Divisions and improving and standardising   financial processes to improve overall efficiency; identifying and contributing to business improvement opportunities

*        Enhance commercial understanding by ensuring that all stakeholders understand their responsibilities for the overall financial goals of their Divisions and the business. Embed commercial mind-set and governance

*        Ad hoc analysis and provision of financial advice as required to support Finance Team, decision-making and monitoring of financial performance

*        Specific divisional responsibilities:

*        Central services – Finance, Legal, N Brown Group

*        Capex – Tribe capex and DT resources

*        People team

What we’re looking for:

*        You will be ideally be working towards a formal finance qualification: CIMA/ACA/ACCA

*        Strong commercial awareness and a customer first approach

*        Strong commercial problem solving & analytical skills

*        Able to work with and influence business stakeholders as well as fellow finance professionals

*        Confident, clear and concise communication skills and strong influencing skills

*        Highly driven and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to perform well in a fast-paced changing environment

*        Innovative and curious, willing to question the status quo and learn.
