We help our customers to express themselves with stylish products, helpful services and flexible finance. Now, we’re moving forward together, embracing innovation and new technology, to continue to delight our customers.

The Role

This is a great role to gain exposure in all elements of running a warehouse for an e-retailer, with the potential to move into other areas of the Supply Chain, or progress within the warehouse upon completion of the 24 month programme. Our Shaw site handles the majority of our customer orders, with processes including Picking, Packing, Returns and Receiving all under one roof. During your time in the Graduate Team Leader role, you will be given exposure to, and responsibility for some, if not all of these areas, each with its own unique challenges and opportunities to learn.

  • Shift pattern: 2pm-1.30am on rotating 4 on 4 off days. Flexibility required to work our other shift patterns (6am-2pm, 8am-4pm) if needed.
  • Based at our Shaw site near Oldham. Flexibility required to work at our Logistics site in Glossop if required also.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead your own operational team, driving performance and compliance to deliver our products to customers “on time and in full” and within operational budgets.
  • Work with other Team Leaders and Senior Leaders to plan and deliver the operational plans based on business forecasts, reacting, and adjusting to any forecast variances to protect service and costs.
  • Ensure all people management activities are completed as quickly as possible in line with policies and procedures.
  • Identifying and driving changes to our processes as part of a well-established data driven, continuous improvement culture.
  • Work closely with other leaders throughout the business to ensure we succeed as a team, providing accurate and relevant details for shift handovers.
  • Review efficiency for area of responsibility and provide a weekly cost analysis.
  • Review MI daily, investigating and responding to trends in data.
  • Promoting and participating in engagement activities, being an ambassador for company values and behaviours.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment for all staff and visitors on the Logistics sites, through housekeeping, audits and promoting best practice among your team.

What will you get?

Working here you’ll explore everything the world of digital retail has to offer — asking questions, trying new things and chasing new opportunities. Combine this curiosity with the freedom to make your own decisions, take charge of projects and work flexibly, and you’ve got the perfect place to show your skills and learn new ones. It’s fast and furious here at times, but this just means something new and exciting is always on the way. So, if you collaborate, think on your feet, embrace innovation and love rising to a challenge, your work with us will have a serious impact on the business, your career and our customers’ lives.

As a Graduate, you will receive a competitive salary with incremental increases across 24 months based on your performance. You’ll be part of N Brown’s Graduate programme, following a comprehensive learning and development plan including power skills workshops, sessions with our Executive Board, receive a dedicated mentor and more, as well as be part of our wider Emerging Talent community! You’ll be part of our bonus scheme, pension scheme, life assurance as well as receive 24 days holiday including bank holidays. Alongside this, you will also receive fantastic employee discount on our products, access to our Employee Assistance Programme and much more!
