The Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Online Merchandising Executive for a 6-month fixed-term contract to accelerate delivery of our Hierarchy & Taxonomy Project. This role is key to improving product discovery and the online shopping experience across our website and app.
You will play a critical part in executing customer-focused enhancements to web hierarchy, filters, and attribution - delivering value through seamless navigation and improved findability. Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the Group, you will help drive this strategic project at pace by influencing areas outside of your direct control.
With a strong understanding of digital merchandising, product taxonomy, and customer journey optimisation, you will deliver value in way that prioritises return on investment.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Develop and help drive the Hierarchy & Taxonomy (H&T) roadmap, delivering this across Group, looking for opportunities to deliver at pace. Identify the key opportunity areas for customer journey improvements to H&T that benefit the on-site customer journey, as well as working with SEO to drive organic growth.
- Work with UXR & CRO to develop and drive a research & testing strategy, interpreting & contextualising data that leads to value added improvements to Hierarchy, Navigation & Filters.
- Work with Product Ops to delve into the detail of product setup and understand how to drive efficiencies and improvements to the input metrics such as product setup completion.
- Work with DT to drive technical improvements to product setup, data feeds and Search & Merch tools that benefit customer purchasing journey.
- Work with Data Analytics to develop reporting to effectively communicate the value added through both input and output metrics.
- Effectively communicate progress and key metric reporting of project to all levels of stakeholders
What are we looking for?
- Expeience in an Ecommerce / Online Merchandising role, with knowledge of Search & Merch.
- Experience with Web Hierarchy & BloomReach Discovery Platform.
- Analytical and understand how to effect key metrics such as Views, Conversion Rate, PLP > PDP Click-through-Rate and Demand per SKU with experience of GA4.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel

Ways of Working
- We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!
- Our full-time working hours are 36.17 per week over 5-days. We don’t have strict working hours therefore there is some flexibility around start and finish times as long as you are meeting the needs of the business.
