This is a crucial role for a designer with proven commercial success and a strong, versatile portfolio who can blend high-level creativity with technical precision.

Key Responsibilities

What will you do as a Fashion Print Designer?

  • Seasonal Print Strategy & Direction:

    • Develop and own the seasonal print and graphic strategy, working closely with the Senior Print Designer and Buying teams to align with commercial goals and brand aesthetic.

    • Contribute to creating print trend forecasting and research for print, color, and graphic directions relevant to all three categories, along side helping to create inspiring seasonal print boards that reflect the trends.

  • Original Print Design & Artwork Creation:

    • Design and create a diverse range of original, commercially viable artwork, including all-over repeats, conversational prints, placement graphics, and textile surface designs (e.g., embroidery, lace).

    • Ensure designs are adaptable and appropriate for different product types (dresses, nightwear, bedding, accessories) and production methods.

  • Technical Development & Production Management:

    • Prepare  production-ready artworks, including precise repeat patterns, color separations, and technical specifications for varied suppliers.

    • Manage and maintain the critical path for all print development, ensuring timely delivery of strike-offs and bulk approvals.

    • Look over strike-offs, and bulk submissions, providing detailed and articulate comments on color, hand-feel, scale, and print quality to achieve the desired outcome.

  • Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Present print concepts and final artwork to internal stakeholders (Design, Buying, Merchandising, and Leadership).

  • Work proactively with internal teams and suppliers to ensure designs are cost-effective and technically feasible for mass production.

What are we looking for?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.

  • Software Proficiency:

    • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, for complex print design, color manipulation, and technical file preparation.

    • Proficiency in creating seamless, production-ready repeats.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • In-depth understanding of various textile printing techniques (e.g., rotary, screen, digital, sublimation, discharge) and their applications on different fabric bases.

    • Expert knowledge of color matching (e.g., using Pantone, or internal color standards) and fabric properties.

  • Commercial Acumen:

    • A proven track record of designing successful commercial prints that drive sales.

    • Strong ability to balance creative vision with commercial constraints.

  • Personal Attributes:

  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) to convey technical information clearly to both internal teams and external vendors.
