We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Product Owner with a proven track record of defining and delivering digital products to join a new ‘start-up’ division within N Brown. As a member of the Castle team, you’ll be at the heart of a unique and exciting venture to assemble a new financial services platform. With a background in financial services (ideally retail credit) and product innovation, you’ll leverage your knowledge to drive the development of the platform. Operating like an independent start-up, within an established organisation, you’ll be completely at home with agile frameworks.

What will you do as an Senior Product Owner at N Brown?
- Acting as a champion for the platform as a product and a service
- Taking full ownership of the product roadmap and defining product goals
- Cultivating positive and reciprocal relationships with stakeholders to support the product vision and drive prioritisation of the roadmap
- Owning sprint planning and release planning to deliver incremental value
- Evolving the product through rapid iteration and hypothesis driven development
- Maintaining the health of the backlog through continuous refinement and prioritisation
- Working in an agile environment and embracing DevOps within a small internal team and an external systems integrator (SI)
- Building a strong culture of learning within the team, providing feedback to continuously improve the way we work together
- Establishes and owns measurement objectives, with continuous review and improvements to measurement capability, whilst providing advice and guidance for effective use of measures to drive product evolution
What skills and experience will you have?
- Experienced in digital product development/innovation
- Experienced in working with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum
- Experienced in owning multi-channel customer applications
- Understanding of financial services business processes (preferably retail credit)
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience of working with third party cloud-based service providers
- Application life cycle management, e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence
- Continuous improvement mentality
- Manages the full product life cycle to ensure that customer/user needs are met and that financial and other targets are achieved.
- Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for large, complex initiatives.

Ways of Working
We offer hybrid working which varies across the business depending on the role you’re in.. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. So if you are travelling by train, tram or bus we’re perfectly located, plus we’re surrounded by cool cafes, trendy bars and the best places to eat!
Our full-time working hours are 36.17 per week over 5-days. We don’t have strict working hours therefore there is some flexibility around start and finish times as long as you are meeting the needs of the business.
