N Brown – who we are and why work for us?

At N Brown, we’re committed to building a diverse workforce and creating an inclusive environment that values equality for all. Our vision is that by ‘championing inclusion, we’ll become the most loved and trusted fashion retailer’. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are, therefore, at the heart of our culture.

We’re a forward-thinking digital retailer with a financial services proposition to be proud of. We’re customer-obsessed, serving them through three core brands: JD Williams, Simply Be, and Jacamo. We’re experienced, with over 160 years of trading under our belt. We’re inclusive, as we believe in fashion without boundaries; and we’re sustainable, striving to make as little impact on the planet as possible.

You will be significant in leading key pieces of work whilst coordinating your squad to deliver the run actions to enhance the colleague journey. If you are motivated by pace, lead with empathy, and comfortable with ambiguity, we welcome your application to join our team.

  • Provide insight to evolve our people strategy, and develop and deliver your people plan.

  • Act as lead for your people squad, coordinating talent, employee relations, and communications, to deliver run activities to enhance the colleague experience.

  • Act as a facilitator and champion for change, enabling business growth and transformation aligned with our vision, mission, and purpose.

  • Maintain compliance with all people-related reporting requirements, both internally and externally.

  • Developing and updating HR policies to reflect current laws and best practices, continually seeking new ideas to improve the employee experience.

  • Providing expert advice on a range of people matters and support leaders in routine and complex employee relations.

  • Be a point of contact for the wider People Team to share best practice and support with guidance and advice.

What skills and experience will you have?

  • You should be CIPD qualified and possess prior HR experience at a Senior HR Advisor/HR Consultant level.

  • The role requires both team collaboration and the ability to work autonomously.

  • You must have exceptional planning skills, attention to detail and a consultative approach, backed by project management experience.
