We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Supply Chain team!

As a Data Analyst within our Supply Chain team you’ll be an active member of the MI team, providing information and insight, supporting ongoing projects and to contribute towards the management of a c.1000 colleague team, fulfilling c.34m items globally to our customers within an operational budget of £85M.

You’ll monitor key KPIs and dashboards daily, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities. You’ll extract and analyse data across multiple systems, creating new dashboards to support a fast‑paced environment. Working closely with the wider team, you’ll contribute to both strategic and tactical projects, proactively uncovering insights that enhance customer experience, improve efficiency, and drive actionable outcomes across the business.

Please note – this role will be based at our Warehouse in Shaw (Oldham)

What will you do as a Data Analyst at N Brown?

  • To actively review and understand trends in data, including but not limited to; carrier reporting, customer feedback metrics and operational reporting. Sharing any concerns with business owners in a clear and actionable manner. Using insight to improve overall service and cost metrics.
  • To support and assist in defining and writing new reports and data sets for Supply Chain areas as required/requested to aid analysis and monitoring or core processes. Using tools such as SQL, PowerBI and Excel.
  • To support in maintaining and developing new functionalities in existing MI/BI processes, as well as exploring new ways to deliver data to the end user with the goal or reducing reports, increasing self-serve MI and increasing call to action.
  • To support Operations, Distribution, Engineering, Fraud and Customer Service teams with data and automation to simplify processes. Including but not limited to; Macros, data exporting, internal automation tool, stored procedures, etc
  • To actively look for insight in data outside of usual reports, on own initiative, with aim of improving service/costs or CSAT. Working with others to implement opportunities.
  • Assisting in actively managing the automation and Data visualisation suite. This includes monitoring and actively maintaining load on internal servers and the Power Bi Suite, maintaining acceptable response times and assisting in innovation.
  • Finding new and inventive ways to improve or renew aging infrastructure within the department.

 

What skills and experience will you have?

  • Previous experience of working with SQL/PowerBI required.
  • Strong problem solving and systems analysis skills.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes and best practice beneficial, but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to present work, with a  clear understanding of the outcome and any actions available
  • This is a data centric role, therefore an ability to process map, analyse trends in large datasets and problem solve is a necessity. Experience in SQL & or PowerBI is also required.
  • Being commercially aware of current internal and external trends
