Health and Safety Team Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our health and safety team as their team administrator.  This will be a diverse role which will support the team in the provision of health and safety services across the Group.

The position will report into the Health and Safety Manager and will be suited to an individual who wants to gain experience or showcase their existing talents in the administrative field.

The individual will need to be confident and have excellent people skills which will enable them to build strong relationships with key stakeholders within other teams and in responding to initial queries from colleagues.

Training will be provided on bespoke elements of the role and software but we would expect the applicant to be proficient in the use of all basic software applications including Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.

Role Responsibilities will include:

-          Raising orders and managing stock

-          Keeping noticeboards up to date

-          Monitoring the team mailbox and responding to generic queries or escalating as required

-          Producing minutes for meetings held by the team – these can be pre recorded

-          Upload relevant documents such as audits and reports onto the database

-          Send reminders to relevant parties in relation to outstanding actions from accident investigations, audits or other relevant activity

-          Scheduling meetings

-          Arranging surveys and inspections

-          Onboarding contractors

-          Gathering and collating information required for insurance claims and compliance

-          Assisting with maintaining annual company professional subscriptions

-          Preparing and issuing briefings and communications

-          Monitoring and reviewing training records

-          Creating and issuing weekly and monthly reports for the Logistics Dashboard and Monthly Board Report

-          Archiving team documents as and when required

 

 

Personal Requirements

-          Must hold a full valid driver’s licence as the individual will be required to visit other sites in the area from time to time

-          Excellent communication and people skills

-          Positive person who is open minded and receptive to change

-          Must have some experience in administration

-          An interest in Health and Safety is desirable but not essential for the role

 

Location and Hours

-          Shaw logistics, Oldham but can work from other locations when confident in role

-          Hybrid working in agreement with line manager available when training completed

-          09:00 -17:00 but somewhat flexible
